Adam Cole has left WWE to join AEW. He still maintains that he thinks the world of both Shawn Michaels and Triple H. The former NXT champion is glad that Triple H is able to take care of himself after his recent health scare.

Cole recently spoke to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp. He noted how he respects both Michaels and Triple H very much. That’s why getting the news of Triple H taking retirement due to his health issues was really disheartening to him:

“I learned so much from him. He was a huge, huge mentor to me. So to get that news was really disheartening because I know how much professional wrestling means to a guy like Hunter. However, at the same time, his health is the most important thing. His family’s the most important thing.’

Despite it, Adam Cole is glad that Triple H is able to take care of himself and make sure that he is doing what’s needed:

‘So I’m glad that he’s able to take care of himself and make sure he’s doing what he needs to do to get on that track. So, truth be told, with the way stuff has been going lately, I’m just happy he’s okay.”

Cole also said that everything The Game has given to the wrestling business will never be forgotten. This includes his in-ring career as well as the people he has mentored in NXT.
