WWE has taken some strict steps against Sasha Banks and Naomi after the duo walked out of May 16 Raw. The company has suspended the two indefinitely and tried to bury them on live TV over their decisions. If latest reports are to be believed, then the officials have tried to cut them off financially as well.
Writing about the financial situation of Banks and Naomi on the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed that the suspension is without pay. He additionally noted that WWE has pulled out all their merchandise as well so they won’t be getting any royalties either:
‘The suspension is without pay. In addition, the company pulled all of their merchandise from its web site, meaning they would not get any new merchandise revenue. There was merchandise for both women available at the live shows over the weekend because that stuff is prepared ahead of time.’
Sasha Banks and Naomi were reportedly scheduled to challenge the SmackDown women’s champion Ronda Rousey and Raw Women’s champion Bianca Belair respectively at Hell In A Cell. Both the stars however, were going to lose their indivisual matches. They were unhappy with this treatment as the women’s tag team champions and they walked out of WWE because of it.
