The recent accusations against Vince McMahon have resulted in some major backstage shakeup in WWE. Mr McMahon himself has stepped down from his CEO position with Stephanie McMahon taking over the role. He is not the only one to lose power as John Laurinaitis has also been affected.

The Head of Talent Relations was named in the report and he has since been put on administrative leave by the company. In his absence, Bruce Prichard has been named the interim Head of Talent Relations, although this announcement has not been met with the expected enthusiasm.

Per F4Wonline’s Dave Meltzer, the reactions to this change have been negative. The main reason is that Laurinaitis had a better relationship with many talents compared to Prichard:

‘The reaction was generally negative from talent since Laurinaitis had a better relationship with most talent than Prichard. A couple of talents expressed negativity citing that Prichard is generally quiet and usually not approachable while Laurinaitis is very approachable and open to talking. One called the move ’˜scary.’’

Prichard is continuing his role as the head of creative. With his newfound responsibilities, the WWE executive has become one of the most powerful persons behind the scenes, second only to the McMahon family members.
