A fan favourite AEW star recently stated that they believe CM Punk is “good for the company” amid the controversy surrounding the AEW Champion.
Speaking to Wrestling Inc before the ALL OUT PPV event, Anthony Bowens of The Acclaimed said he is happy with Punk being in the company.
“I have a great relationship with Punk. He was here a couple of weeks in, I barely knew him at the time, and he just had wrestled a match, and he was taking the time out to pull Dante and me to his trailer to do tape study” Bowens began.
“He’s been a resource since he’s come [to the company. So I think he’s been a good asset to the company, especially from an analytical point of view too, from all the money that he brings in and the ratings and such” Bowens added.
CM Punk AEW Firing?
It would certainly be interesting to see what Bowens would have to say now that the situation backstage in AEW is so fraught.
We still don’t know at this time if Punk is going to be fired from his position with the company, but it is certainly not off of the table.
