Finn Balor was ‘deeply hurt’ on being left off of both nights of WrestleMania.
WWE has been pushing the boundaries and trying to make each version of WrestleMania bigger than the last one. The last few years has seen them moving to a two-night schedule. It allows fans to take a break and officials are able to include more stars into the match card.
Despite this change, Finn Balor hasn’t gotten the opportunity to wrestle at Mania since 2018. The Judgement Day star spoke about it in an interview with Cheap Heat (H/t Fightful). He admitted to being deeply hurt over his WrestleMania omission:
“Last year, I wasn’t involved in Mania and I’ll be honest, that deeply hurt. Deeply hurt. The fact that I show up for every TV, every house show, every overseas tour, every media appearance. Then, to be left off two nights of WrestleMania, that hurt.”
Balor also discussed the upcoming Clash at the Castle PPV. He said that he wants to be involved in whatever way possible, and having a singles match at the event would be incredible:
“Absolutely, I want to be involved in whatever way I can. To have a singles match would be incredible. Having spent six years at the start of my career in the United Kingdom, to get to go back and wrestle in a stadium would be incredible.”
