GCW ‘turned down WWE’ for streaming offer

Last updated

Game Changer Wrestling/GCW recently confirmed that they had signed with FITE+ to show their content going forward.

The company had previously been offering their events as PPV on the platform, but now fans will be able to see all of the action as part of a $4.99 per month subscription to the FITE+ platform.

It’s a pretty incredible offer for fans who were previously paying between $12-15 PER SHOW, and it now appears that Game Changer actually turned down an offer from WWE.

The owner of Game Changer Wrestling, Brett Lauderdale, recently confirmed in an interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful that he turned down an offer with WWE to be on FITE+.

“Of course. I think that she’s very frustrated. She made a very substantial and healthy offer to us to bring us to Peacock” Lauderdale revealed, speaking about WWE Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon.

“We have great relationships with people across the board in every major company. You could see us pop up at any time and it shouldn’t be surprising” Lauderdale concluded.
