Goldberg is well aware that Bret Hart will never forgive him for ending his career. The WCW veteran says that he will take this regret to his grave.

The former Universal champion was recently a guest on The Michael Kay Show (H/t Wrestlezone). Among other things, he also discussed the botched kick that ended the career of Hart. Goldberg mentioned that he has told his side of the story, but nobody believes it:

‘I mean when an accident happens, and you tell your side of the story, and nobody believes it, especially the person who was negatively affected by it. Yeah, it sucks, and I will take it to my grave because I’m sure that he will never forgive me.”

Goldberg added that he has apologized to Bret Hart many times. He has made it clear that the botch wasn’t intentional, but it’s something that the wrestling legend has never believed:

‘I said I was sorry, that it was unintentional. And it was the furthest thing from my mind; I don’t know, a million times. And of those a million times, he’s come back with ’˜yes, it was intentional.’ And ’˜he’s a punk, and he didn’t know what he was doing, and he ruined my career.’”
