Former All Elite Wrestling star and mainstay of GCW Joey Janela set his boot on fire and hit a superkick at GCW Maniac this weekend.
Janela was in a match against Japanese wrestling Deathmatch great and former UK upstart Drew Parker when he hit the crazy move.
Following the spot, the referee and Janela himself were trying to get the fire out with water, and it took some time to do so.
Reportedly, the building and GCW staff did not have a fire extinguisher to hand, and it is not known if Game Changer Wrestling had planned the spot ahead of time or if Janela improvised.
GCW does have a penchant for these wild and over the top moments to try and get the internet talking, so it was likely planned ahead of time.
With that in mind, it’s quite odd that they didn’t prep a fire extinguisher!?
