WWE legend John Cena was apparently nearly part of a massive Ruthless Aggression stable, according to former writer Brian Gewirtz.
Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the former writer and business partner of The Rock revealed that Cena could’ve been a member of Evolution.
“I might’ve said it, ‘What about that John Cena guy joining Evolution? What if we did that?'” the former WWE writer began.
John Cena in Evolution?
“It was, again, tossed about for a couple of minutes and I think it was deemed that John, especially John at that particular time, you know, hadn’t found himself yet” Gewirtz concluded.
Of course, WWE would end up going with Batista, Randy Orton, Triple H and Ric Flair for the RA era group, which turned out pretty well!
Thankfully for Cena, his run at the top of the company was not hampered but not being part of the group in the end.
Still, it’s wild to think that there is an alternate universe where ‘Hustle, Loyalty, Respect’ was sidelined for an Evolution version of the 14-time WWE Champion.
