AEW already has a couple of big stars dealing with injuries in form of CM Punk and Kenny Omega and neither of them are scheduled for the Forbidden Door PPV. Latest reports have now put a question mark over the status of another mega star, Bryan Danielson.
Danielson has been out with an injury. Originally it was believed that he will be back in time for the upcoming show. AEW has also been teasing his match with Zack Sabre Jr. Bryan however, has not made a TV return with only days remaining to the show. F4Wonline’s Dave Meltzer provided the latest update on the former WWE champion. He revealed that the AEW star hadn’t been cleared as of last Wednesday:
‘They didn’t announce the match, but they certainly built it up. I can tell you that he was not cleared on Wednesday of last week, but they pushed very hard.”
Meltzer later stated that Bryan should make an appearance on Wednesday. He explained AEW is continuing to build the fight because they can do it on TV later on if Bryan is not cleared by June 26. Meltzer said that if Danielson does not make an appearance on Dynamite this Wednesday then it can be seen as a sign that he won’t be competing on Sunday.
