Paige is leaving WWE.
The former Diva’s champion announced on Friday that she will be leaving the company. She posted a statement from her Twitter account, noting that July 7th will mark the end of her WWE journey. The WWE star, real name Saraya claimed that she is thankful for all the opportunities she has been given by the promotion:
‘July 7th will be the last day with WWE. I’m so thankful and I appreciate the opportunities that the company has given me. I will always be appreciative of the company that took in an 18-year-old British pale emo girl that didn’t look like your average diva, giving me the chance of a lifetime and making me feel like a superstar.”
Paige thanked the WWE Universe calling them the ‘most passionate group of fans’ she has ever seen. The former champion also confirmed that this isn’t the end of her in ring career. She promised to make a return somewhere down the line:
‘FYI I’m not saying I’ll never be in the ring. That day will most certainly come again! Wherever the return may be.”
Paige originally signed with WWE in 2011. She had an impressive career, which includes multiple title reigns. She also holds the record for being the youngest Divas champion.
