PROGRESS Wrestling star Kanji has laid down the challenge to former Women’s Champion and IMPACT star Jordynne Grace. Kanji is set to challenge for the PROGRESS Women’s Championship on today’s Chapter 111 show: One Leg In The Air.
This is the third match in the Best of Three Series between Kanji and Gisele Shaw. Former Champion and NXT UK Superstar Jinny had to relinquish the title earlier this year, and this led to the series being confirmed.
Kanji won the first ever Women’s Thunderb*stard match at Chapter 105: Bring The Thunder to become the number 1 contender to the belt. Gisele Shaw however was not happy with this decision, as she was the #1 name in the Women’s division before PROGRESS were forced to take a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kanji vs Jordynne Grace
On a media call ahead of Chapter 111, Kanji revealed that she wants to win the title and then defend against a major IMPACT Wrestling name, the aforementioned Jordynne Grace.
‘I’d love to see Jordynne Grace come back,’ Kanji said when asked who she wants to face in PROGRESS. ‘I’d love to step in the ring with Jordynne Grace and have her come back with all the skills and abilities that she’s learned since having the belt previously.”
“I think definitely also get Meiko Satomura back. I think she could grace our ring again. That would be awesome’ Kanji finished.
