Ric Flair doesn’t care what you think about his Last Match event, because he made a lotta money from it.

Ric Flair’s Last Match was an event that took place in July last year. The 74-year-old wrestling veteran headlined the show in a tag team match. The event was a big success, drawing over 6,800 fans. This made it the second highest-grossing independent wrestling event in modern North American history just behind All In.

The critical response to the show, however, wasn’t as great. The whole event was recently voted as one of the most ‘disgusting promotional tactics’ of 2022 in a poll by Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Responding to it on his podcast (H/t Sportskeeda), Flair revealed how much money he made from the show:

‘I don’t pay attention to that. You know what I got to say to that? I made three hundred thousand dollars. Go f*ck yourselves. That’s right, I made three hundred thousand dollars disgusting you! Disgust yourself for three hundred grand and get in the shape that I got in. How about that, motherf*ckers?’

Ric Flair’s Last Match was held in Nashville, Tennessee on July 31, 2022. The event featured talents from AEW, GCW and NJPW among other promotions. The main event of the show saw Flair teaming up with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo. They defeated Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.
