Roman Reigns vs The Rock is a highly anticipated WrestleMania main event. It has been talked about a lot in the last couple years, but it’s also a match nobody is sure we will get to see. At one point, it was rumoured for WrestleMania 38 but plans changed, and now people are hoping to see it at WrestleMania 39 from Hollywood.

Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (H/t WrestleTalk) claimed that Roman Reigns vs The Rock is ‘100%’ in the plans for WrestleMania next year. It all depends on if The Rock can fit it into his schedule:

‘It’s the plan. It’s 100% the plan for this year (WrestleMania 39). But the idea is, it’s the plan if he can do it. We’re still months away, months and months away. So many opportunities and things like that may come up that are far more important than WrestleMania.’

The biggest hurdle in this mega match is of course the shooting schedule of The Rock. The movie star cannot risk getting injured if there are any movies lined up for him around the same time. Such an accident can deem him to be a risky star and drive up the insurance costs of any future projects he participates in.
