WWE rumored to want top NJPW stars

WWE has been looking at a couple of big New Japan Pro Wrestling/NJPW, at least that is what the rumor mill is saying.

According to new report/rumor from insider Boozer, it appears as though WWE have had interest in both Jay White and Kota Ibushi for some time.

“Jay White. They like that fella. I have no sources of what is happening to his situation. But I know for a fact, higher-ups have wanted him and Kota Ibushi for a long while” the account claimed.

NJPW stars heading to WWE?

It’s worth noting that this rumor from Xero News is just that, a rumor, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.

Jay White has been a hot topic amongst fans since he lost a “loser leaves Japan” match against Hikuleo, so talk of him potentially signing with WWE makes sense.

Kota Ibushi has been a free agent since February 1st 2023, and with the former IWGP Champion having already worked for WWE under Triple H as part of the Cruiserweight Classic, it absolutely is conceivable that WWE to get a hold of one of the hottest free agents going.

We’ll have to wait and see with this, but WWE making plays for both names should not come as a shock to anyone.
