Sasha Banks making more than WWE legend in NJPW

Last updated

Former WWE Superstar Sasha Banks is reportedly set to be making an incredible amount of money when she appears in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion is set to make even more than Chris Jericho did during his last stint with NJPW.

Jericho made around $100,000 per appearance when he was in the company, with a match against Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom seeing a vast business boost for New Japan.

Meltzer did not confirm exactly what Banks will be making during her stint with New Japan, but he revealed that she will earn more than $100,000 per appearance.

It’s a huge amount of money for the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion to make, and it remains to be seen whether or not it will be a good investment by NJPW.

Banks is expected to be confronting Kairi Sane following her IWGP Women’s Championship match at Wrestle Kingdom, leading to a match down the line.

Interest in Sasha appearing in New Japan will certainly be great among Western audiences, especially among WWE fans who may not have watched the company previously.
