A top WWE NXT Superstar was reportedly injured during the tapings that took place this week that will be airing for the next two weeks.

According to a recent report from WrestlingNewsCo, Tony D’Angelo was injured during the tapings during a match.

“There is conflicting information on the nature of the injury” the site revealed this week following the last episode of NXT 2.0.

“One person tells WrestlingNews.co that he appeared to hit his head in the corner of the ring but another person tells us that it’s a knee injury.

“D’Angelo’s match was stopped and the trainers tended to him. There is no word right now on the severity of the injury or how long he might be out of action. We send best wishes to him and we hope for a speedy recovery” the site concluded.

NXT Injury

We’ll have to wait and see what the severity of the injury is, but it’s not good for a Superstar who is starting to get some genuine momentum on the brand.

Hopefully, we’ll be able to update you on this situation soon with the news that the injury is not that severe.
