The reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther has some serious competition ahead of him. WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley is seemingly eyeing for a fight with the Austrian star.
Bobby Lashley talks about possibly facing Gunther
‘The Almighty’ challenged Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship at the Money In The Bank Premium Live Event. He would end up defeating Theory for the title, becoming a 3-time United States Champion. While speaking with BT Sport, Lashley talked about Intercontinental champion Gunther. ‘The Almighty’ made it clear that he would love to square off against Gunther someday.
‘I think an interesting matchup that I heard a couple of times is Gunther. I think just him being my counter on the other show. I think it’s something that is kind of intriguing. He’s a tough, tough, tough competitor. I mean, he’s been doing some big stuff and he just went right up to the top right away.’

Lashley is set to defend his WWE United States title against Theory at WWE SummerSlam this Satruday, July 30 at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennesee. We will have to see if he is able to defend the title against the Mr. Money In The Bank.
