WWE star Kevin Owens already has a match with the WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin in his resume. It seems he is not trying to stop anytime soon. He has revealed his pitch for a match with another WWE Hall of Famer.
Kevin Owens wanted a match against Shawn Michaels
At WWE WrestleMania 38, Kevin Owens headlined night one of the two-night event by facing Stone Cold Steve Austin in his first official bout in 19 years. The Prizefighter’ has revealed that if it was up to him, that wouldn’t be the only legendary wrestler he faced in a match.
Speaking on the latest edition of Kevin Raphael’s podcast, Kevin Owens revealed that he recently inquired about a match against WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.
In the interview, Owens noted that after his Mania main event against Stone Cold Steve Austin, he figured nothing was impossible.
Owens revealed that he had a sit down meeting with Michaels and asked him if he would consider having one last match with him.
Owens explained that he made the pitch to say that he wrestled his two favorites of all time.
Fightful Select (subscription required)Â provided an update, noting that Michaels told Owens that he’d be lying if he didn’t think about doing another match, especially with the kind of match Austin had with Owens at WrestleMania 38. However, Michaels also said that he doesn’t think he should. Kevin Owens is currently embroiled in a feud with The Bloodline following Sami Zayn betraying him in the Men’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series 2022.
