Paul Heyman believes that Sabu belongs in the WWE Hall Of Fame because the ECW original introduced concepts in the business that were years ahead of his time.
With WrestleMania coming around, people have been talking about the various personalities who deserve to be in the Hall Of Fame. Speaking on the Battleground podcast (via Fightful), Heyman endorsed Sabu for a spot:
‘Sabu definitely belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame because the concepts that Sabu was introducing were 20 years ahead of its time. I don’t just mean the breaking of the tables. The manner in which he performed in the ring was so far ahead of its time that he never got the credit he deserved.”
Paul Heyman also praised Joey Styles for being a very progressive announcer. He explained that ECW had a lot of misfits but it also had many elite technicians that came from around the world. Heyman said that no American announcer was capable of calling in their moves but Styles did.
WWE has announced The Undertaker will be headlining the 2022 class of Hall Of Fame. Vader has also been announced and more names are expected to be added to the list as the event reaches closer.
