Jeff Hardy turned down WWE’s invitation for a Hall Of Fame induction this year because he wanted the Hardy Boyz to be inducted together, according to Matt Hardy. The AEW star talked about his brother on his recent Twitch stream and discussed his relationship with WWE.
During the talk, Matt revealed why his brother turned down the offer to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. Hardy explained that his brother stood up for their team:
‘Jeff asked [WWE], ’˜So you want to induct me into the Hall of Fame?’ And he said, ’˜Well let me ask you, I know you guys have spoken with AEW. Is this going to be the Hardy Boyz? Is this myself and my brother Matt?’ And they go, ’˜Oh, no no, no, no. We can’t get Matt. He’s under contract at AEW. You know, it would just be you.’ And Jeff said, ’˜Well, that’s a hard no.’He definitely stood up for the team of the Hardy Boyz.’

The Hardy Boyz are a legendary tag team that date back to the Attitude Era. They are one of the few tag teams to have won titles together in companies like Ring Of Honor, Impact Wrestling and WWE. In WWE alone, the duo has won over half a dozen tag titles.
