WWE SmackDown Superstar Max Dupri may well be making a return to his LA Knight gimmick in the very near future.
Xero News first reported that the former NXT Superstar would be making the change back a couple of months ago, and now they’ve updated on the situation.
“We reported the return of LA Knight around the time of the draft with the belief he may be heading to the RAW brand when drafted” the site claimed.
“Now with no Draft for the foreseeable future, it seems he may be staying on Smackdown. This was reported a few months ago although with early plans” the site concluded on Twitter.
LA Knight Gimmick Return
It’s worth noting that this rumour from Xero News is just that, a rumour, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.
I’m really hoping that we get the original character that debuted in NXT, because he had a ton of charisma and was tailor-made for the WWE main roster.
Vince McMahon deciding to lump him with the Max Dupri gimmick seemed odd then and it still seems odd now, but at least it appears to be getting rectified.
