WWE NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose retained her title at NXT Heatwave this week, defeating Zoey Stark during the broadcast.
According to a new rumour/report from Bot Lesnar, the decision to keep the belt on Rose was actually a last-minute decision.
“Apparently last night’s change in keeping the title on mandy is a combo of not wanting too many call-ups at once” the Twitter account claimed.
“[Thus] keeping some star power on the NXT shows, and seeing fans express they did not want Zoey as champ on social media #WWENXT” the account concluded.

It’s worth noting that this rumour from Bot Lesnar is just that, a rumour, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.
Could this really be the case? There’s no way we’re going to find out in the near future, but it certainly makes sense to stop calling up SO many people at once.
I still expect Toxic Attraction to be called up in the near future, but it’s looking like Mandy will be remaining down in Florida for the time being.
