Massive rumour on WWE television deals in future

WWE currently has two major television deals with FOX and USA Network, but a big change could come in the future.

According to a new report/rumour from Xero News, the company is looking at potentially moving over to a 3rd party streaming service for RAW and SmackDown.

“Nick Khan’s comments on the recent earning call about streaming deal wasn’t to be brushed over” the site claimed on Twitter.

“A source states Netflix/Amazon Prime are two strong candidates for weekly shows and PLE’s in the future when it comes to tv deal renewal” Xero concluded.

It’s worth noting that this rumour from Xero News is just that, a rumour, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.

This would be an unbelievable move for WWE to pull off if they are able to in the following few years. Prime and Netflix are two giants of streaming, and they may well get a more casual audience to same the WWE product if they see it on there.

Could they do this whilst also staying with Peacock? That I’m really not sure about, so I’m taking this rumour with a grain of salt right now.
