There has been a lot of speculation on the future of NXT UK, and now a new rumour has shed some light on what might be happening.
According to a recent report/rumour from Xero News, the brand is set to stick around for the time being, at least in some form.
“Seen some questions about NXT UK stopping. At the moment, it is filming from CWC in America” the site would begin on Twitter.
“They [WWE] are looking for a new venue not stopping or closing as some believe. That will only happen if they can not get a new venue in the UK” the site concluded.
Is NXT UK dead?
It’s worth noting that this rumour from Xero News is just that, a rumour, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.
A lot of people seem to be jumping on the ‘NXT United Kingdom is dead’ train, but I’m not really so sure about this.
Yes, the taping had to get cancelled at BT Sport Studios whilst the Premier League is back, but the company are now doing a big brand vs brand event in Worlds Collide (at least they appear to be).
We’ll have to wait and see regarding the future of the UK-based brand, but I don’t see it disappearing in the near future. Mind you, I could be way off and the brand dies in a couple of weeks.
