WWE planning to change the game with social media?

Last updated

WWE will apparently be using social media even more going forward to change the way that they present and create storylines.

According to a recent rumour from Xero News, the company will be making changes to events on the day of said event via Twitter.

“Told an idea going round is to use social media to announce the changes to planned matches” the account claimed on Twitter.

“This could even be on the day of said event. For example, if they do go ahead with the pitched changes to Roman vs Drew at Clash, this could be announced by WWE on Twitter on the day of Clash” the site concluded.

WWE Social Media

It’s worth noting that this rumour from Xero News is just that, a rumour, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.

I REALLY hope that this isn’t true, as I absolutely hate the idea of using outside media to affect what happens on the television show.

Granted, I spend most of my time keeping up with what is happening in pro wrestling, because that is my day-to-day job. Having said that, I’d rather know what is happening by just watching the actual shows.

Please, please be wrong.
