WWE is apparently looking at splitting a top tag team as part of the upcoming WWE Draft event in September 2022.
According to a new report/rumour from Xero News, the company is considering splitting up the Street Profits next month.
“Some early talks of The [Street] Profits being split in the draft, Toxic Attraction to SmackDown, Owens and Sami both on Raw again. These are early discussions and could change” the site claimed.
WWE Splitting Tag Team?
It’s worth noting that this rumour from Xero News is just that, a rumour, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.
The company has been looking at Montez Ford potentially being a big-time singles star in the near future, so this does make sense.
We’ll have to wait and see how WWE runs the Draft, but it would be a shame to see one of the better teams on the roster getting split.
If I had to make a prediction, I’d say that Ford is drafted to SmackDown and Angelo Dawkins stays on Monday Night RAW as a singles star in the mid-card.
It’s worth noting though that Dawkins has really impressed in recent months, so he too could benefit from a singles run on the main roster.
