It was recently rumoured that Tyson Fury could get involved in the Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre match, but that is no longer the case.
According to a recent report/rumour from Bot Lesnar, Fury will still be at the Clash at the Castle event but not in the capacity he was previously.
“Only other clash news I can share is the plan for Tyson Fury to make an appearance doesn’t look like it’s happening after the guy he’s set to fight lost” the Twitter account claimed.
“He could still be in attendance and do the camera celeb spot but being a part of the show appears to be nixed #WWECastle” the account concluded.
Tyson Fury WWE Clash at the Castle
It’s worth noting that this rumour from Bot Lesnar is just that, a rumour, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.
Whilst it would be a massive mainstream move for the company to make, Fury was absolutely terrible in the ring before, and I can’t see that he would’ve improved.
Fury vs McIntyre could’ve been a major bout for the company, but in terms of in-ring it wouldn’t be great, so I’m pretty glad it appears to be nixed.
Again, I can’t actually confirm if this rumour has legs right now, but it would certainly make sense for the company to leave Fury as a celebrity appearance rather than get him involved physically.
