The Undertaker explains line from Hall of Fame speech

The Undertaker has made it pretty clear that he is retired from active competition except for one time. The Dead Man ended his Hall of Fame speech with ‘Never Say Never.’ It led to speculations that we might see Taker back in the ring in future.

Undertaker revealed his intentions behind the line during an interview with Bleacher Report. He claimed that he has no aspirations of ever making a comeback, but it’s WWE where you can ‘never say never’:

‘Just the fact you asked that question, mission accomplished. You never say never. I don’t have aspirations of ever stepping into the ring again, but this is the WWE, man. You never say never. You just never say never. I thought it was a great button that I can put on that and for that very reason. That was a little bit for Vince, too.’

Taker also discussed the backlash he received for not mentioning the name of Mick Foley during his speech:

‘I did get a little bit of, ’˜I can’t believe you didn’t mention Mick Foley.’ I’ve talked about Mick Foley until I’m blue in the gills. I love Mick Foley. I think what we did will outlive the test of time as far as our angle.’
