Triple H reveals one regret about feud with The Rock

Triple H worked with many top stars during the Attitude Era. One of his biggest feuds was against The Rock. The Game however, regrets that they never got to have a singles WrestleMania match.

The former world champion appeared on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast (H/t WrestlingInc) recently. Speaking about his rivalry with the Hollywood star, Triple H revealed that they were expected to have a singles match at WrestleMania 2000, but it was cancelled:

‘My only regret of the whole thing with Rock is in 2000, we were poised to have a match at WrestleMania one-on-one, I think that would’ve been an epic thing for both of us in that moment.’

Triple H explained that the WrestleMania match was scrapped because of the timing of both The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin’s return. Triple H first feuded with Mick Foley in the early 2000. He did get to face The Rock at WrestleMania that year.

The match however, was a fatal four-way that featured Mick Foley and Big Show as well. The former world champion did get the chance to face The Rock in a one on one match a few weeks later at No Mercy. He dropped the WWF championship at the show.
