Triple H Reveals Vince McMahon’s Advice About Running WWE

Vince McMahon was infamous for doing things his own way and not listening to others as the chairman of WWE. This habit brought him a lot of success but also led to a lot of criticism. His advice for Triple H however, was the complete opposite of how his father-in-law used to do things.

Triple H spoke to Ariel Helwani of BT Sport (H/t Fightful) before the Clash at The Castle PPV. When asked about the advice from Vince McMahon, the game noted that most his advice was centered around being collaborative:

“Most of that advice was centered around, ‘this is what you’ve been sitting next to me, learning how to do for 25 years. You got this. Just be confident in your decision-making. Listen to people. Be open to ideas. Be collaborative with other people.’ Things like that, that was wonderful advice.

Triple H emphasized that McMahon is not involved with the day-to-day operations of WWE anymore. If he was, he would have told him to listen to people:

“It’s my father-in-law, he’s not involved in the day-to-day business, but if I had to say to him, ‘I find this difficult to deal with,’ he would give me some overall advice. ‘Listen to people, work with the team, do these things.'”
