Former NXT champion Tommaso Ciampa made an appearance on this week’s episode of Raw to continue his feud with Dolph Ziggler. This week’s episode of the red branded show featured a match between The Street Profits and the team of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler.
Ciampa was at ringside for this bout and he had numerous interactions with the Show Off. At one point during the bout, Ziggler teased a superkick to the NXT star. The former champion, however, threw water on Dolph’s face putting him down on the floor. This allowed Montez Ford to pin Roode and pick up the victory for his team.
Ziggler did get to take his shot after the match and superkicked Tommaso Ciampa. Dolph then avoided an attack from the Street Profits. The segment ended with Ziggler and Roode retreating while Ciampa recovered on the ringside. You can watch videos of the segment below:
For those who don’t know, Ziggler made an appearance on last Tuesday’s episode of NXT. He was there to confront the NXT champion Bron Breakker but ended up having a brawl with the former DIY member instead. Tommaso Ciampa has been wrestling on Main Event and dark matches for some time now. Though it doesn’t appear that this feud with Ziggler is his official call up.
