AJ Lee reveals she had to pay for WWE tryout

Last updated

Former WWE Superstar and iconic Divas Champion AJ Lee recently spoke to the State Of Mind podcast. Lee discussed several topics during the interview, including the reveal that she had to pay to try out for WWE.

‘I also paid to tryout, which is such a gimmick,’ AJ began. ‘But it worked, I got hired. I don’t think I was supposed to succeed.

“I think I was good in the ring and I was supposed to train the other girls that were way hotter to go TV. Then I just got really lucky, I got popular with the fans” AJ Lee concluded.

AJ has been a huge pro wrestling fan for the majority of her life, so it is not a shock that she would pay to even get to try out for the company she desperately wanted to be signed to at the time.
