The team of Braun Strowman and Ricochet won a match on February 3 SmackDown to earn a shot at the tag team titles next week.
With Jey Uso walking out of The Bloodline at Royal Rumble, however, people have been wondering how it’ll all play out.
Dave Meltzer discussed the potential solution to this during Wrestling Observer Radio (H/t Ringsidenews). He brought up the possibility of Solo Sikoa filling in for his cousin:
‘Braun Strowman and Ricochet have to wrestle The Usos next week. So, that’s a weird one, so maybe they can’t keep Jey out. Maybe Solo, can they do that?”
Will Jey Uso make an appearance?
Meltzer mentioned that Solo and Jimmy wrestled a dark match together on Friday. So it appears that WWE is already preparing to use the Freebird rule with them
“I guess they sort of established that on RAW, the Adam Pearce thing. I know Jimmy and Solo did a dark match against Gallows and Anderson last night [Friday], so they are giving them experience as a team, or at least one match as a team, perhaps that is where they will go.’
The duo of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa competed in a match against The OC. This dark match took place after SmackDown in which The Bloodline was victorious.
