Bayley Felt Reluctant To Party After Top Name Retirement

The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley recently revealed that she once hesitated to party. Former WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon recently shocked the pro wrestling world when he announced his retirement from the company. He also made several headlines after it was revealed that he secretly paid $3 million as a settlement to a departing employee. McMahon was under investigation right after this, and he had to retire.

Bayley opens up on Vince McMahon retirement

It was later revealed that McMahon also paid $12 million in hush money to quite a few women over the last twenty years. In fact, an additional $5 million dollars of unrecorded expenses were linked to Vince McMahon. While speaking with The Five Count, Bayley said that it feels ‘weird’ not to have Vince McMahon around. She also contemplated whether she should party or just feel weird after his shocking retirement:

“It’s still so weird to me. When the news broke that he was retiring, I was just kind of in shock, and it felt like we needed to ’” I’m like, ’˜Do we party, or do we go sit around and sit in our feelings and feel weird?’ It was such a strange feeling. It still is talked about backstage how different things are and not worse or better, it’s just super different.”
