Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley was removed from the Elimination Chamber match this weekend before even being eligible to compete.
Some fans felt that this was done as a way to protect Lashley from being pinned to lose his WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar. However, it has since been revealed that he is legitimately injured.
Former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide revealed on The Ringer Wrestling Show that the “concussion” angle was a way to cover up the real injury.
“I have under good authority that Lashley is shoot hurt and has been hurt since the Rumble match” Famuyide revealed on the podcast.
“If you’ve noticed, he hasn’t worked any Raw’s. He hasn’t really defended his title. He was shoot hurt at the Lesnar match at the Rumble” it was revealed.
It is expected that Lashley will now be out for around 4 months, meaning that he will miss WrestleMania 38 in April.
