A former AEW star has reportedly officially signed for WWE this week, joining the NXT brand at the Performance Center.
PWInsider recently reported that Brian Pillman Jr is now signed to the company after reports from BodySlam.net indicated that he was looking to join the company a month or so ago.
“Pillman took part in a tryout last month in Orlando. He finished out his independent appearances earlier this month with a loss to then-NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Kerry Morton in Charlotte, NC at the Gathering IV. After that bout, Morton praised Pillman on the mic, pointing out that he was about to move onto ‘bigger ballfields.’ PWInsider.com is told that currently there is “no rush” to debut Pillman Jr., 29, on television as the initial plan is to get Pillman into the PC system and allow him to get his feet under him” Mike Johnson wrote on the site.
