WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar made his return to the company as part of this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX.

The Beast Incarnate appears to have made his return as a panic solution for the company not being able to run with Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns at the SummerSlam event.

According to Fightful Select, the Viper vs The Tribal Chief was the original plan for the late-July event, and Lesnar had to be brought in after Orton got injured.

Brock Lesnar WWE Return

“Brock Lesnar returned on Smackdown, and is set for a program with Roman Reigns” the site would begin on their Patreon subscription service.

“The two are set to main event WWE Summerslam, which wasn’t the original plan. As reported this week, Randy Orton is likely having surgery and was originally the idea for Reigns’ opponent for the show” Fightful added.

“However, once it became clear that Randy Orton wouldn’t be able to perform any time soon, the plan was put in place for Lesnar to return to the company” Fightful concluded.
