Ric Flair’s Last Match was a successful event and it garnered a lot of attention from fans. It was an emotional rollercoaster for Charlotte Flair and according to her, it was a very long day before things concluded.
The SmackDown women’s champion talked about the event during an appearance on The Today Show. She recalled being a little jealous because she wanted to participate in the match:
‘That was a long day. Honestly, I was a little jealous because I was like, ’˜Oh, I want to be a part of this.’ I’ve shared the ring with my dad, but not in that capacity. But then again, my husband having the opportunity to be beside him,”

Charlotte Flair also wished that her late brother Reid Flair could see the match. At the same time, her husband Andrade who is also a third-generation wrestler got to be a part of it. So it was a picture-perfect moment for her:
“At the same time, I’m like, ’˜Man, I wish my little brother could see this.’ Then my husband is a third-generation wrestler. It was awesome. Picture-perfect. But I mean my dad could have maybe just managed my husband, but it worked out.’
There has been a lot of back and forth and rumours regarding Andrade El Idolo and a potential return to WWE for the former NXT Superstar, but as of writing these haven’t come to fruition.
If Triple H is able to remain in charge of creative amid rumors of a WWE sale, then we could see talents make their way back to the company when their AEW contracts have finished.
