WWE Superstars REPLACED in upcoming film

In a surprising turn of events, WWE superstars Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan have been replaced in an upcoming biopic movie about the life and career of Mildred Burke, a celebrated figure in women’s wrestling from the 1930s to the mid-1950s.

The movie, titled ‘Queen of the Ring: Based on the True Story of Mildred “Millie” Burke’, will now feature notable stars from AEW and NWA.

WWE to NWA and AEW: A Change in Cast

Charlotte Flair was initially set to portray June Byers, one of Burke’s notable rivals, in the biopic. However, recent reports indicate that current NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille has now stepped into the role.

The reasons behind Flair’s departure from the project remain unclear. Kamille confirmed her involvement in the project through a series of photos from the set shared on her Twitter account.

AEW’s Toni Storm Steps In

In another significant casting change, Liv Morgan has also been replaced in the film. AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm is now set to star as Clara Mortensen.

The independent movie is written and directed by Ash Avildsen, and shooting began in June, expected to continue through at least late July.

The Impact on WWE

While these changes have stirred up the wrestling community, both Flair and Morgan remain active in WWE.

Flair is currently preparing to challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship in three-way action at SummerSlam 2023.

A New Era in Wrestling Cinema

The ‘Queen of the Ring’ is not the only wrestling-themed movie on the horizon.
