AEW star and former WWE Undisputed Champion Chris Jericho recently revealed that we might be seeing Stone Cold Steve Austin in the ring beyond WrestleMania 38.

Austin will of course be taking part in a KO Show segment at the event, with Kevin Owens having called out the Rattlesnake on WWE RAW.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show podcast, Jericho revealed past talks he has had with Austin where the former WWE Champion said he would want to return for more than one match if he did ever come back.

“He’s the best guy for the job, he’s one of the only guys for the job,” Jericho began, discussing how Kevin Owens is the perfect man for the job at WrestleMania 38.

“First of all, if Steve does come back, he’s going to look like a killer. He’s going to be so big and so jacked up, he’s not going to come back and just be there wearing a shirt and shorts” Jericho continued.

“He always told me, ’˜If I go back, I don’t want to go back as anything less than before. And if I go back, there’s going to be so much training going on that I don’t want to come back just for one [match].’ So maybe he wants to come back for two [matches], I don’t know. Maybe he doesn’t want to come back at all, but if he does, who’s he going to work?” Jericho concluded.

It of course remains to be seen if we will see Austin make more than one appearance in the ring for WWE going forward.
