WWE Superstar Damian Priest has been missing from WWE programming for the last several weeks. The last time that the former NXT North American Champion appeared on RAW was in a lumberjack match back in May.

Fightful Select have now revealed an update on the situation regarding Damian Priest. It is being reported that the previous rumors of Priest having a ‘back injury’ are false, and that Priest would be “available as soon as next week if WWE has creative plans for him.”

Damian Priest has been unavailable for the past couple of weeks due to an undisclosed reason, but again these are not related to the back injury that many sites reported following his zombie lumberjack match against The Miz.

“Damian Priest is currently out for undisclosed reasons”

Select also noted that WWE were hopeful that Damian Priest could be part of the Money In The Bank qualifiers. The RAW side of the qualifying took place this week, so Priest will now not be available for the MITB match in July.

It’s not known when Priest will be back in action on WWE programming, but clearly the company are looking to bring him back as soon as possible.

The buzz that he got from the Bad Bunny match at WrestleMania has all but dwindled, so there’s a chance they might try to hotshot the former ROH star to a United States Championship feud or something along those lines to help get the spotlight back on him as live fans return in attendance.
