Former IMPACT and Ring of Honor star Davey Richards recently appeared on WrestlingINC’s Daily show. The former IMPACT World Champion discussed a number of topics on the show, including the potential for a working relationship between WWE and Major League Wrestling.

Davey Richards recently signed for MLW, and with the current working relationships between AEW, NJPW, IMPACT, NWA, AAA and more there has been rumors circulating WWE getting a working relationship with the brand owned by Court Bauer.

‘Oh, yeah [I would be interested]” Davey Richards said on the podcast regarding a working relationship. “I mean it is a business and it is competitive, and I like that part too.”

“But working together, the more opportunities that are created the more motivated people are going to be to go out there and be the very best at their craft” Richards continued.

“To me it’s like a ripple effect, so I am fully in support of it.’

The rumors of MLW partnering with WWE began circulating a few months ago, however they have dried up recently. If WWE were to work with another outside promotion, it is not as out of the question as fans may think.

WWE has worked in the past with EVOLVE before purchasing the company, and they were one of the more prominent independent groups in the United States, so a deal with MLW, if beneficial for both parties, could be possible.

Davey Richards would also predict that there would be a big post-pandemic boom on the podcast, with fans beginning to be allowed back into arenas/buildings at full capacity.
