WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has not yet re-signed with WWE, and we’ve got some exclusive details on his current status with the company.
After Mike Johnson clarified on a recent PWInsider Q&A session that McIntyre had still not re-signed with the company, we wanted to try and get further details.
Speaking to one of our more tenured sources with access within WWE, we were able to corroborate that there has been no agreement signed and there’s been “no movement as of late.”

We were also told that he “could go on a little break,” before returning to the company, although that ‘could’ is certainly doing some heavy lifting and there is always a chance that he moves on to the likes of AEW, NJPW or TNA.
“There was a little chatter he could have a break before making any decisions. No updates outside of that. Not sure what will happen with him until I hear more on the subject” was also relayed exactly to me directly.
We will hopefully be able to get more information regarding Drew at some point in the near future, but if he is able to take it down to the wire with his contract then he is likely to get an even better deal.
McIntyre’s contract was originally expected to expire in April 2024 but was extended due to his absence (via RingsideNews).
