WWE recently confirmed that they would be holding an event in Cardiff, Wales in September 2022, and Drew McIntyre has revealed who he wants to face at the Premium Live Event.

Speaking to BT Sport, McIntyre revealed that instead of Gunther or Tyson Fury, he would like to face Roman Reigns at the event.

“Roman. He’s the Champion. I’ve been away from the title for a long time. Roman’s been so dominant and is doing the best work of his career” McIntyre began.

“We’re on a collision course. It is five months away. If somehow we could avoid each other for five months, that would be such a big match.

“Especially on the U.K. soil, I can’t imagine the atmosphere for that match” the Scottish Superstar would continue.

It remains to be seen whether Roman vs Drew is the plan for WWE later this year. The event will be taking place after SummerSlam in August, so the company will probably be coming off of a massive match for the Tribal Chief.

Right now, there aren’t really any other decent options for the company when it comes to opponents for Roman. Putting McIntyre in there with the Head of the Table would be a great move for the first major UK stadium event in 30 years.
