The Return at IMPACT 1000

Fans were elated when IMPACT Wrestling announced that Team 3D would be returning to action next month. The reunion is slated for the IMPACT 1000 event on September 9th, where Bully Ray and D-Von will once again team up.

The event, taking place at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY, will see the duo in a tag-team match, a format they’ve mastered over the years.

The Road to Reunion for WWE Legends

The last time the Dudley Boyz teamed up was at the House of Glory VI event on December 16, where they competed in a tag-team four-way bout for the HOG Tag Team Title.

Since then, their paths diverged. D-Von Dudley took on the role of a producer for WWE and later parted ways with the company. On the other hand, Bubba Ray made his way back to IMPACT Wrestling under the moniker Bully Ray.

D-Von’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges. He faced significant health issues in recent years, which raised questions about his ability to return to in-ring action.

After undergoing spinal fusion surgery in February 2022, doctors advised him against wrestling. However, showing the resilience he’s known for, D-Von underwent medical evaluations to determine if a comeback was possible.

IMPACT Wrestling has yet to reveal who the Dudley Boyz will face at IMPACT 1000. Regardless of the opponents, one thing is certain: the event promises to be a historic night for wrestling enthusiasts.
