The wrestling world is abuzz with speculation and rumours surrounding the future of one of its most iconic figures, Edge.

As his contract with WWE nears its expiration, fans and insiders alike are eager to know what lies ahead for the Rated-R Superstar.

Edge has been conspicuously absent from WWE television since the 18th of August episode of SmackDown. This particular episode celebrated his 25th anniversary with the company, culminating in a victory against Sheamus in the main event.

This match, as it turns out, was the last one on Edge’s current WWE contract, which he has openly mentioned is set to expire at the end of September.

Edge: Current Status Within WWE

While the wrestling community is rife with speculation about Edge’s next move, there has been a significant update regarding his status within WWE.

A recent report from PWInsider suggests that Edge has been removed from WWE’s internal roster of active wrestlers.

However, this doesn’t mean he’s been completely ousted. Instead, Edge now finds himself on a “miscellaneous” talent list, which features names that aren’t presently active on either of the main shows, Raw or SmackDown.

This list also includes other notable figures such as The Undertaker, Steve Austin, Big E, Titus O’Neil, and Braun Strowman.

While Edge himself hasn’t confirmed or denied these rumours, he has acknowledged the challenging decision he faces. As of now, he remains undecided, leaving fans on tenterhooks about his future.
