Eric Bischoff calls WWE Releases a potential “market correction”

Last updated

Former WCW President and Executive Director of WWE SmackDown Eric Bischoff recently discussed the recent layoff of WWE talent over the past couple of months.

Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff would discuss the changes that have come to NXT as well. “I think that perhaps, for whatever reason, the strategy over the last five or six years with NXT is being reevaluated.

“And as a result, there’s just a lot of talent looking for work. That’s just a market correction” Bischoff noted, discussing the offloading of talent by WWE.

It’s worth noting that a number of talents who seemed to be the top draws at NXT were released before they even made it to the main roster, so it’s a fair evaluation by Easy E.
