A WWE Superstar has been removed from the internal roster amid speculation that they could be going back to an old gimmick.
According to a new report from PWInsider, Ezekiel is no longer listed as being part of the WWE roster, and Elias could soon be returning.
“Ezekiel is no longer listed internally on the WWE’s roster, PWInsider.com has confirmed” the site revealed this week.
WWE Superstar removed from roster
“The character was replaced last week with his original persona, Ezekiel’s ‘older brother’ Elias” the site continued.
“It would appear that, as many of you have suspected, that when the time comes, the Elias character will be returning to the Raw roster while Ezekiel, who was written out due to ‘injuries,’ will fade into the darkness” Mike Johnson concluded on the site.
Ezekiel really hasn’t been that big of a hit on WWE RAW, so it absolutely makes sense to bring back the far more over Elias gimmick.
It’s not currently known exactly when Elias will be returning, but it could be as early as the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event in October.
