The WWE Tryout Experience

The WWE tryouts are known for their rigorous selection process. Athletes are usually informed almost immediately about their contract status.

So, when Black didn’t hear back for two weeks, he began to grow anxious. Reflecting on the experience in an interview with Rockford Register Star, he shared, “I was a little worried, sure, but I knew I had a good thing going. I knew I did well at that tryout.

“Now, I’ve got a contract coming in about a week, and then it’s off to Orlando (Florida) in the next two or three months for a new life.”

For his tryout, Black chose to don an “Egyptian God of War” outfit, hinting at the kind of character he envisions for his wrestling career.

Wrestling, which he has been a fan of since childhood, is not just a profession for him but a passion.

He expressed his excitement, saying, “I just hope it’s something that sticks for me. It’s so much fun. This is going to be my time to showcase who I am. I can’t wait to show the world who I am — and what I can do, baby.”
